OUR CLASSES

Below is a list of the classes we provide at our dance studio, along with a brief description of each. For more details, to set up a tour/meeting, or ask about studio rentals, please fill out the form on the 'Contact' page.

Combo Classes

Combo classes offer tap, and classical or lyrical ballet, depending on age group and skill level. Our younger dancers are given the foundation in these areas to allow them to expand their dance skills as they grow. Our advanced students build on their fundamental skills each year, learning new tricks and techniques, to be the best dancer they can be.

1 hour class

Classical Ballet

This class begins at age 8, continuing with more focus the classical ballet training received in the combo class. Skills emphasized are graceful movements and long lines, along with form and technique- especially turn out of the legs. (Advanced classical students study and perform pointe)
beginner level- 30 minute class
advanced level- 1 hour class

Modern

Modern dance connects the mind and body through fluid dance movements while focusing on spontaneity and self-expression. Dancers must be enrolled in classical ballet in order to participate in this offering.

Jazz

Jazz dance combines techniques of classical ballet and modern dance with the current forms of popular dance. This class includes strength, flexibility, and conditioning technique, and progressions including turns, kicks, and leaps. (Available for ages 8 and up)

Hip Hop

Hip hop dance incorporates elements of popping, locking, breaking, jazz, ballet, tap, and other styles of dance. It is typically done to hip hop, funk, or pop music. This class is a favorite for dancers ages 5 and up, and is a great way to get those little bodies moving! (Available from ages 5 and up)

Theater Jazz

Theater dance is a jazz-based class, filled with Broadway style dancing and music. This form of dancing emphasizes learning performance skills, such as connecting with the audience, and facial expressions. Classes incorporate the style of dance one would typically see on Broadway stage. (Available for ages 5 and up)

Tumbling

Offered to ages 2 and up, this class covers everything from the fundamentals of floor tumbling and dance tricks/acro, to advanced cheer style tumbling passes.

Jumps, Tricks, & Turns

This class is a technique class designed to strengthen and improve our dancer's skills of various leaps, jumps, tricks, and turns. Benefits include strength, stamina, proper alignment, flexibility, poise, and self confidence.
(Available for dancers 12 and up)

Flex Stretch

Flex stretch is a class designed to increase flexibility and mobility by teaching proper stretching techniques. Increased flexibility provides benefits such as improved posture and balance, decreased chance of injury, and overall greater strength as a dancer.

(Available for dancers 5 and up)

Yoga

Dance yoga is a style of yoga that combines fluid movement with music, into a yoga practice. This class helps dancers focus on their bodies, form, and breathing techniques. This is extremely helpful during intense routines that are particularly exhausting, and often push a dancer to her limits. 

(Available for dancers 5 and up)
